-       Competitions will be held in two categories – Stage Magic and Close-up Magic, both amongst Senior and Junior Delegates.

Competition entry fee will be Rs.1,000/- per Delegate, per category.

-       This competition is open to Magicians of India only.

-      Entries to competitions should be sent before 30^th April, 2012.

-       Competitors are required to send us video, YouTube links or any other visual source of their magical talents (video of competition act need not be sent), as, in case of large number of entries, only 20 competitors in each category will be allowed to compete. The panel of judges will be invited to short list the required number of competitors, keeping in view, the paucity of time in such Festivals. Registrants, who will not be in the final list, will be reimbursed their competition fees. Registrants are requested to cooperate.

-        All competitors should send their audio tracks, if any, to the Academy on CD/DVD format before 30^th April, 2012. Competitor’s Name,

contact number and track number to be written

clearly on the CD/DVD media.

-       The competitions will be held in the outdoor ‘MAYABAZAAR’, on good stage facilities. The audience will be Delegates and general public.

-        Due to severity of time, competitors are requested to be ready with their act at least ten minutes before the scheduled time.

-       The panel of judges for the competitions will include eminent magicians with top class talents and performance experience, and personalities from the entertainment industry.

-        The acts will be judged as follows:

 By eminent magicians - 70% of the marks for skills, routines, innovation.

 By entertainment professionals – 30% of the marks for audience response, presentation and overall entertainment value.

-        The decision of results of the competition by the panel of judges will be final and binding on MAGIC ACADEMY BANGALORE and the competitors.

-         Prize winners will be required to perform once again at the Festival, as and when decided by the Academy.

-         Time allotted for each competition act will be 10 minutes. Any Competitor who performs less than 8 minutes will be disqualified and anything above 10minutes will not be counted.

 -          One assistant will be allowed on stage, as part of the competition act. Judging criteria will be applicable to the assistant also.
